In addition to requirements, the PhD degree holders must fill-in the attached PhD proforma and submit it along with necessary information/documents at HEC Islamabad. In this regard, the PhD degree holders are required to visit HEC Islamabad office and contact at Window No. 3 to submit the PhD proforma along with documents for approval of the competent authority. The applicants who apply through designated courier service should also send the attached PhD proforma as well as required documents for approval. 

 

Normally, 15 working days are required to process the case for approval. The walk-in applicants will be informed of approval of their PhD case on their e-mail address. After obtaining the approved proforma, the applicant will apply for attestation as per routine case and attach the approved proforma along with other required documents. However, the PhD cases received through courier will be processed by HEC. If the documents are as per requirement, the case will be processed. Otherwise, the documents will be returned to fulfil the deficiency.

 

 

Please, provide the completely filled-in PhD proforma along with the documents as per any one of the following category applied:

Category-I           Doctors who have obtained Ph.D. degree before 31-05-2005.

​

                             1. Name of the candidate must be included in PCD.

​

Category-II         Doctors who enrolled as PhD scholar before 31-05-2005 and obtained                                                                    Ph.D. degree after 31.05.2005.

 

                             1. Name of the candidate must be included in PCD.

                             2. Copy of title page of research article published in HEC approved “Y” category journal for sciences &                                  social sciences (“Z” category journal is only accepted for languages)

                             3. Name of two foreign evaluators with their e-mail and official addresses who evaluated the thesis as                                  per approval of the university/institute, they should be from technologically and academically                                          advanced countries.

         

Category-III        Doctors who were registered as PhD scholar w.e.f 01.06.2005 onwards

1. Name of the candidate must be included in PCD.

2. Copy of title page of research article published in HEC approved “Y” category journal for sciences &      social sciences (“Z” category journal is only accepted for languages)

3. Name of two foreign evaluators with their e-mail and official addresses who evaluated the thesis as     per approval of the university/institute, they should be from technologically and academically               advanced countries.

4. Copy of Transcript showing detail of course work.

5. If admission in Ph. D is on the basis of Masters/ 16 years degree, a consolidated Transcript with a       minimum 42 credit hours with a load of 09 to 12 credit hours per semester is required.

6. If admission in Ph. D is on the basis of MS/M.Phil, a transcript with a minimum 18 credit hours             course work with maximum load of 09 to 12 credit hours per semester is required.
